| METHYLPHENIDATE FOR HYPERACTIVITY IN CHILDREN WITH PERVASIVE DEVELOPMENTAL DISORDERS |
| In patients with pervasive developmental disorders (PDDs), methylphenidate is found to be effective in treating hyperactivity. However, the effect appears to be weaker than that which is seen with typically developing children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and there appears to be a higher occurrence of adverse events. |
