BIPOLAR DISORDER AND PREGNANCY/CHILDBIRTH
The risk of puerperal psychosis is found to be high among women with a history of bipolar disorder, and even higher if there is a first-degree relative with a history of puerperal psychosis.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy is found to be effective in the treatment of sleep-maintenance insomnia.

FDA NEWS AND REVIEW
Product Safety Information: The FDA is advising consumers to immediately discontinue the use of any products containing aristolochic acid (found in certain botanicals). Further, consumers are advised to immediately inform their health care provider about which product they used (even if the product has not been recently used) so that an appropriate evaluation can be conducted.
