EATING DISORDERS
For patients being treated for bulimia nervosa, several factors, including higher levels of depression and hopelessness, are found to contribute to premature discontinuation of treatment.

PATHOLOGICAL GAMBLING
Relapse prevention is found to be an important component in the treatment of pathological gambling.

DEMENTIA
Patients with incomplete symptom recovery after their first major depressive episode are found to have an increased likelihood of a chronic course of depression.

CONDUCT DISORDER
Lithium is found to be effective in the inpatient treatment of aggressive behavior of children and adolescents with conduct disorder.

TEMPOROMANDIBULAR DISORDERS
Biofeedback is found to be effective in the treatment of temporomandibular disorders (TMD).

PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY NOTE
Patients with OCD who have not responded to an SRI may respond with the addition of risperidone.

Patients with OCD who have not responded to fluoxetine may respond with the addition of olanzapine.
