QUICK REFERENCE #1: How is body mass index (BMI) calculated?

A commonly used formula for BMI is:
BMI = weight in kilograms divided by height squared in meters. An online BMI calculator and a BMI table are available at the Web site of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) [http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/guidelines/obesity/ob_home.htm]. The BMI calculator accepts entries in either pounds--inches or kilograms--centimeters. According to NHLBI, a BMI below 18.5 indicates underweight; 18.5 to 24.9 indicates normal weight; 25 to 29.9 indicates overweight; 30 or above indicates obesity.

QUICK REFERENCE #2: Among children aged 3 to 17, how much more likely is it for boys to be diagnosed with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) than girls?

Boys are approximately 2-1/2 times more likely to be diagnosed with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) than girls: In 2002, 10.3% of boys and 4% of girls had a diagnosis of ADHD. ---- Source: Child Trends Data Bank [http://www.childtrendsdatabank.org/indicators/76ADHD.cfm].
