The average height of women increased from just over 5-3 (feet-inches) in 1960 to 5-4 in 2002. During that same time, the average weight of women increased from 140 pounds to 164 pounds. The average height of men increased from just over 5-8 in 1960 to 5-9˝ in 2002. QUICK REFERENCE #5: What is the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility Locator and how can it be accessed?
The Substance Abuse Treatment Facility Locator is an online tool that links to the database of the National Directory of Drug and Alcohol Abuse Treatment Programs. The Directory describes services (eg, programs for adolescents, individuals living with HIV/AIDS, and pregnant women), what levels of care are offered, and where the treatment program is located (eg, hospital, residential facility, or outpatient facility). The Directory, published for free by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), can be ordered by telephone (800-729-6686) from SAMHSA's National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information (NCADI). The Substance Abuse Treatment Facility Locator is searchable and updated monthly. It is located online at http://findtreatment.samhsa.gov.
